Fortunately KES now offers a solution to this problem in the form of InfoSpeed™, a set of powerful tools that give Internet Service Providers and network administrators the ability to increase the performance of their existing infrastructure by a factor of 10.
InfoSpeed™ is a real-time compression engine and cache proxy that works with a client application to reduce data streams by up to a 10:1 ratio. This product provide several key benefits which include increasing network capacity by up to 10 times; adding up to 10 times more customers using the same infrastructure; offering existing customers improved performance; and the provision of a stand-alone set-top server/cache proxy requiring no changes to the existing infrastructure.
System Concept
KES' open-source based xMaster™ compression engine is based on codec algorithms that allow for unprecedented data compression. InfoSpeed™ combines the xMaster™ compression with a cache proxy to provide data-transfer performance improvements for nearly all types of digital content - text, images, audio and video.
The general features of InfoSpeed™ include a client plug-in that runs invisibly in the background, requiring no training or maintenance; a real-time compression via xMaster™ that reduces data throughput and increases performance; and a seamless interoperability with existing standards and protocols
