Erica Tofson
VP, HR & Administrative Operations


Erica Tofson serves as the Vice President of Administrative Operations & HR for KES Inc. In this capacity she oversees all administrative operations including HR, Accounting, Finance, Contracts & Security. Specifically Ms Tofson is responsible for the strategic recruitment function, compensation program, training, employee relations, and benefits administration while ensuring that KES remains in compliance with all state and federal employment related government regulations.

Prior to working for KES, Ms. Tofson worked briefly in the accounting and payroll department of North American Trust Company in San Diego . She loves working with and helping people and this has made her experience with KES very rewarding. "We're definitely an employee oriented company and it's very nice to work here, said Ms. Tofson. Ms. Tofson holds substantial and continuous professional experience in Human Resources management. As an accomplished HR Generalist, Ms. Tofson has PHR certification (Professional in Human Resources) and is a member of both the local and national Society for Human Resources Management. She has been with KES since the early days in 1999 when the company employed only 25 team members. She feels fortunate to have had a first hand role in the company's growth, witnessing its expansion from a staff of 25 people to more than 125 in 2007.

A California native originally from the town of Twin Peaks, located near Lake Arrowhead and nestled in the San Bernardino Mountains, Ms. Tofson holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from San Diego State University. Ms. Tofson also acquired a Master's degree in Human Resources from Chapman University.

When she's not helping KES team members, Ms. Tofson volunteers her time to help neglected and/or abused children at San Diego 's Polinsky Children's Center. She has also participated in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk to raise money to fight breast cancer.
