SAN DIEGO, CA, March 6, 2024 – Koam Engineering Systems Inc. (KES Inc.), an employee-owned business with highly qualified staff specializing in technology innovation and systems integration, is thrilled to announce the successful award of a $25.5 million contract by the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC Pacific). This contract signifies a significant partnership between KES Inc. and NIWC Pacific in advancing critical defense initiatives, expanding upon a long running existing relationship.

The NIWC Pacific BMD T&E is responsible for supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and the Space-Based Warfighter Sensor (SBWS)/Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) in developing, testing, integrating, and fielding a layered Missile Defense System (MDS). This system encompasses Space, Air, Sea, and Ground-Based sensors, networks, and systems, providing comprehensive capabilities for detecting, tracking, characterizing, discriminating, and protecting the United States, its deployed forces, allies, and friends against enemy threats across all ranges and phases of flight.

KES Inc. will play a critical role in providing essential support across various key areas. This includes project management, support for the Aegis Combat System, network support for hardware/software in testing and evaluation, data analysis, external communication (EXCOM) lab support, and ensuring interoperability of TDL systems. Additionally, KES Inc. will offer deployed support, contributing to the ongoing success and effectiveness of the NIWC Pacific BMD T&E Project's mission.
